Affordability in Utah

In 2025, tariffs cost Americans $1,000 more in costs this year than last. I grew up in a family on a teacher's salary. I understand what it means to hope you have enough money to cover all your expenses. I support bills that reflect the following:

Housing affordability, such as expanding homeownership programs, reducing housing costs, and easing zoning or regulatory constraints. I support measures that increase construction activity and broader economic growth

Childcare support, including efforts to expand childcare tax credits for businesses, home childcare grants, and childcare subsidy expansion for caregivers

Healthcare cost adjustments, such as ensuring matching funds continue flowing which keeps Medicaid premiums, co-pays, and state-level healthcare costs from rising, protection of hospital funding, and targeted interventions to reduce high medical prices, particularly prescriptions
