Behind every successful campaign is a group of people who knew you before you were a candidate, and having your family as that foundation is a true competitive advantage. I feel fortunate to have many family members who believe in the democratic process--we may not agree on every issue (sometimes I don't agree with myself!) but they do believe we should all participate!
Throughout my life, service has been a constant thread—shaping who I am and how I try to show up for others. From years of church involvement to volunteering at homeless shelters and pitching in for neighborhood service projects, I’ve found that true fulfillment comes from lifting those around me. These experiences have taught me compassion, perspective, gratitude, and the quiet power of showing up consistently, even when the work is small or unseen. Serving others has never been a checkbox for me—it’s been a way to build community, strengthen faith, and stay grounded in what matters most.
With more than 20 years in the mining industry, I’ve built a leadership style centered on collaboration, trust, and bringing people together to solve complex challenges. From my years at Rio Tinto in South Jordan, where I led key finance functions across North American operations, to senior roles at Coeur Mining, Jervois Mining, and beyond, I’ve learned that the best results come from teams who communicate openly and work toward a shared goal. I’m at my best when aligning diverse perspectives, strengthening cross‑functional relationships, and helping teams operate with clarity and confidence.
